Fay Clark UofG Computing Science Blair Drummond SP Our work highlights that analysis of animal tech at a broad level does not capture the whole picture as species and individual factors influence an animal's computer usage. For future animal tech, there is a need for customisable and adaptive computers for group-housed animals🐒
Fay Clark UofG Computing Science Blair Drummond SP As individuals, older lemurs used the device more. There were clear differences in how often individuals triggered the various audio types each having individual preferences for audio. So what does this tell us?
Fay Clark UofG Computing Science Blair Drummond SP Lemurs used the device a lot - 1,826 times over 56 days. We found no audio preference as a group but as a group lemurs did interact with the device more often and for longer when it produced audio over silence 🎶🔇
