Being nominated for a Tony is a phenomenal ride, my first, but the highlight was watching my baby sister Marlo, work the red carpet. One of the blessings of life is having a sense of continuity & shared experiences including shared victories. Last night was one of those times!

Last night #ASoldiersPlay won the #TONY for Best Revival. The history books are now closed on that production. Incredibly honored to have thrown down on that stage every night with this most incredible cast. AND huge congrats to new Tony winner David Allen Grier! You did that!

The great Melvin Van Peebles, trailblazer of Black Cinema and one of my inspirations, passed away recently. He broke down barriers in too many ways to count.
I had the honor of mtg and working with him when his son @mariovanpeebles directed us in #Posse . RIP King Melvin!
