Lt-General Philip Neame (1888-1978) just came up in my current read.
He was awarded a VC in WWI. Won a gold medal in the 1924 Olympics. (The only VC holder to do so)
Captured in WWII, he designed an escape tunnel that allowed other POW officers to escape.
Yet no modern biography!

Medals, including the George Cross, awarded to a wartime bomb disposal officer have sold for £110,000.
Sub Lt Jack Easton wrote a book about his experiences in 1950.

As most of my reading is currently done at an ungodly hour, nothing too taxing is preferable. This has been a really enjoyable read, although I've read much of his SAS life before.
He really was a gentleman & I hope we see more of his character in season 2 of SAS ROGUE HEROES.
