Wow! In one post how do you summarise such an fascinating book?
Learnt so much because other books tend to concentrate on the land battle for Norway. The chapters covering pre & post-war are truly fascinating.
A perfect partner then for Plevy's excellent book.

This 2nd book I'm currently reading is a fascinating Dad's Army myth buster, that takes a deep look at the HG.
An incredible 1206 HG were killed on duty despite never engaging with the enemy in ground combat! Most fatalities involved live ammunition accidents.

The book that seems to need it's own miracle.
We have been talking about this book for the past 3/4 years. I don't know what the issue is with the publication date constantly being delayed, but it's changed again now to July 2025.
