A great excuse for a Project Children reunion. I worked on the program for the DC Chapter in 1999 as part of what is now Washington Ireland Program. My novel, A Belfast Tale, was informed by the experience. I haven't seen the production yet, but congrats to Finn Kennedy on the project!
Only 2 weeks to go until the hilarious, powerful and epic ‘Project Children’ opens on the main stage of the Lyric Theatre Belfast 🤩

An 'exceptional theatre production' in the Irish language is to be awarded €400,000 from Arts Council of Northern Ireland and The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon in the largest ever single grant from either funding body.

Art for art's sake: Arts Council of Northern Ireland budget £9.7m. The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon budget in Republic €134m (£115m). If we use yardstick of North, pro-rata arts budget in Sth would be £24.5m (€28.6m). New Arts Minister Gordon Lyons MLA👏has pumped extra £1m into Libraries NI, hopefully arts next.🙏
