At the Shelter hustings this week, I spoke about the failure of national government to fund local services.

The kicker is that a Labour government has no plan to fix this either.

Today, I visited the Strand, which is proving that bold ideas like car-free-zones work.

I also chatted to people on Old Compton Street in Soho, where everyone wants the road to be for people walking & businesses to use, rather than cars.

Greens will deliver safer streets.

It is utterly deplorable that nearly 1 million people have been issued S21 no fault eviction notices since the Govt pledged to ban them 5 years ago.

🏘️ The Government are still dragging their feet on the Renters' Reform Bill.

🤯 Meanwhile, 943,000 tenants have been served Section 21 notices since April 2019.

💚 Only the Green Party is committed to ending no-fault evictions AND introducing rent controls to protect renters.

It is now a month since the UN Security Council passed a resolution demanding a ceasefire in #Gaza . What is the government doing to ensure this resolution is implemented? If it is not implemented, there should be enforcement action - on both parties.
