Nice article about the Regenerative Almond Field Day held at #BurroughsFamilyFarms recently. And learn more about the Burroughs family and their great work in conservation and sustainability. buff.ly/3UkQE37

Weeds shape the communities of insects that eat their seeds. These seed-feeding insects communities, in turn, select for weeds that attract even more granivores. This is one reason why no-till, regenerative farmland has fewer and fewer weeds over time. esajournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.10…
One of the greatest experiences of my life has been to experience a continent’s food system with all of my senses. Here is one reflection from the #1000Farms initiative. ecdysis.bio/post/the-sound…
Harvest! We (Jonathan Lundgren Amélie Gaudin labs)are studying how sheep grazing & other regenerative practices affect vineyards. We clip & weigh clusters from 12 vines/vineyard for yield, sample 1400 berries across 400 vines/vineyard to asses grape quality, & get our insect traps.

'As founder of Ecdysis Foundation and Blue Dasher Farm in South Dakota, Dr. Jonathan Lundgren believes optimism combined w. urgent work is compulsory if the world hopes to save its dwindling supply of fertile topsoil and, w. it, most life on Earth.'
Delta veraison sampling ! We (Jonathan Lundgren & Amélie Gaudin labs) assess how grazing & other regenerative practices affect soil & vine health & farm economics. We sample petioles to determine vine fertility, grade vines on pest/disease damage, & quantify the plants and insects.
Wondering how much forage your pasture is producing, and need to find out quickly? This little contraption we validated for the #1000FarmsInitiative can help. peerj.com/articles/15740/ via PeerJ - the Journal of Life & Environment
Do you know what regenerative agriculture means? We’ve seen it being thrown out A LOT… so we thought it fitting to share another sneak peak of Common Ground (Movie), coming to theaters this fall!
When most people use the phrase “regenerative agriculture” they’re referring to
Had a visit by Dr Jonathan Lundgren and his team yesterday. It was a special experience watching these scientists measure every aspect of a pasture that you could imagine. They are showing the benefit that animals have on our soil and how we can use #regnerativeranching to build
Day 5 of the Kansas trip for the #1000Farms Initiative. Not all areas need to be cropped. And these farmers are showing us he good grazing can help heal an ailing cropland ecosystem while keeping a farm resilient. What an inspiring group of farmers we have met!
Ecdysis Foundation team hits northern MT for YR 2 of the #1000Farms initiative. 50 farmers turned out to share their experiences with intercropping and soil health, and we saw the perennial wheat Salish Blue attain its potential. These farmers give us a lot of hope for the future
This #PollinatorWeek , let’s remember that transitioning to #regenerativeagriculture practices is a powerful way to help pollinators thrive!
Learn more from Jonathan Lundgren in this exclusive clip of #CommonGroundMovie , which will be coming to theaters soon!

Just walked the red carpet at tribeca to watch Common Ground (Movie) in NYC. A really great presentation of the problems associated with the food system and how regenerative ag solved it. #Ecdysis foundation and #1000Farms initiative is an important part of the solution!
