Earlier today, ICT Minister Hon Tatenda.A. Mavetera at the BT Annual Telecommunications Conference toured and interacted with exhibitors.
After, the Minister interacted with delegates. Part of the discussion was around the licensing of Starlink internet service.

Responding to a question on data cost in Zimbabwe at the BT Annual Telecommunications Conference, ICT Minister Hon Tatenda.A. Mavetera says there is need to review the cost drivers.
She also says costs should allow a win win situation for the TSPs and the consumers.

ICT Minister Hon Tatenda.A. Mavetera thanks the Business Times Zimbabwe for setting up the conference. She says it should continue as it allows frank dialogue among stakeholders. She says it also shapes policy that involves all stakeholers' input.
ICT Minister Hon Tatenda.A. Mavetera says, “This is not a good time for the sector. For me it's a good time to rep the people and come up with policies and indeed decisions that will propel this country. We have to be people centric as enunciated by HE the Pres Dr ED Mnangagwa.”
