Principle Investigator, Prof Dr Ioana Cismas presents the #BeyondCompliance Consortium research programme - built upon the work of many other crucial studies & projects in the field. This interdisciplinary & mixed-method research centres the negative lived experience of conflict.
In the Q&A #BeyondCompliance Consortium members discussed extractive industries in the #Philippines & #DRC as an impact as well as a driver of armed conflict, and what strategies to use when war is driven by material resources. 🇵🇭🇨🇩

Today is the start of a 2 day 'kick-off' workshop for the #BeyondCompliance Consortium held at the University of York. Representatives of all BCC partners are present to discuss the conceptual framework & the operationalisation of the research programme across our 9 case study countries.
