In March, Naheeda, Semi and Adèle attended an event at the Guildhall to commemorate Stephen Lawrence Day. They heard various enriching talks on how young people are affected by racial issues, allowing them to discuss and learn from Stephen’s legacy to better our communities.

Last month, our year 12 students visited alumnae at Cambridge University. Over a delicious tea, our students asked questions about UCAS applications and gained insight into university life, various course options and much more. It was great to catch up with our former students!

Amongst 500 bright minds, City’s year 12 students achieved remarkable success during the Model UN conference held at LSE. Their stellar performance gained them awards in Best Research (Jiyaa) and Honourable Mentions (Maria and Reya). Congratulations to our outstanding delegates!

Last month, our sixth formers attended a careers networking event at City of London School. They spoke with professionals from various industries and to connect with students following similar career paths. A big thank you to all the parents and alumnae involved in this event!

At the BFI, our year 12 A level Spanish students participated in an informative workshop on filming the legacy of dictatorship in Spain and Chile, improving both their language skills and understanding of important historical events.

‘Near, far, wherever you are’ during the holidays, we want to share the delights of our ever-popular house music competition! Well done to each house involved in bands, solos, and – of course – the house shouts. What a wonderful way to end the term!

A couple of weeks ago, our City girls in the arts trips took place! Year 9 students visited the SAE Institute UK | Creative Media Education for a day of music production, game design, and more. After mixing their own tracks, they listened to enriching talks about music, animation and game design industries.

Last month, some of our students performed in ‘Blindsided’, a student-led production at City of London School. With its unpredictable plot, this drama truly lived up to its name. After three stunning performances, their production will be performed at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer!

Congratulations to Zahra (year 10) who has been elected as the new Member of Youth Parliament for the City of London! Receiving 870 votes, her manifesto campaigned to reduce air pollution and improve mental health. We very much look forward to seeing her represent the City.
