My promotion to Associate Professor w/tenure is official today! I’m so grateful for the amazing students and colleagues who enable our work. I’m also very lucky to have the support of my wonderful family and friends on this journey. I’m looking forward to the next chapter at UVA!

Finally, congrats to Ivan Basurto on his successful PhD defense! Ivan spearheaded our group’s efforts in skeletal muscle tissue engineering and leaves behind an impressive and impactful body of work. He will be joining Anika Therapeutics next month.

Also, big congratulations to four amazing undergraduates on their graduations. Excited to see what Abby (PhD student CU Boulder), Audrey (PhD student Notre Dame), Emily (Booz Allen Hamilton), and Gregg (Emerson Electric) accomplish in the future!
