I had AERA FOMO this weekend but was esp. disappointed to miss the presentation of this award to Jeffrey Henig who fed my own early interest in the politics of ed Teachers College, Columbia University & helped sustain it over time from afar through his writing & community of mentees. Congrats!

Does a rural-urban political divide exist among people of color? Trevor E. Brown, Gisela Pedroza Jauregui, Suzanne Mettler, and I looked at 30+ questions on political behavior and policy preferences and find little to no evidence of one. tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10β¦
Not only has he literally redefined the study of politics and education, but Jeffrey Henig is one of the most generous and supportive scholars out there. The best part of of being his advisee is joining the community of incredible people in his orbit. Well deserved!
