1. This is an actual post from a real Conservative MP.

2. The product says plant-based in large and prominent letters.

3. This is tin foil hat material, unfit for the dark corners of the internet let alone an MP.

4. Bugs aren’t plant-based.

5. The ice cream is delicious.

This week, Animal Justice’s executive director Camille Labchuk 🇺🇦 testified at a committee meeting studying the PUPS Act. This Ontario bill aims to regulate dog breeding, but as it stands, would FAIL to protect dogs from abusive breeders 🐶🚫 Act now: animaljustice.ca/PuppyMills

Today I testified in the Ontario legislature about cracking down on puppy mills through licensing & strict standards of care for all dog breeding.

The province’s PUPS Act doesn’t do this and must be improved. Take action here to demand better! action.animaljustice.ca/page/149236/-/1

“It’s fitting that marks the return of vital journalistic freedoms to Ontario,” says lawyer Camille Labchuk 🇺🇦 with Animal Justice. “Once again journalists and whistleblowers have the tools to uncover animal abuse and hold industry to account.”

Premier Kinew initiates review of legislature's opening prayer - hopefully this will lead to a secular moment of reflection rather than any religious prayers. Considering how many Canadians aren't religious, this makes sense. canadianaffairs.news/2024/05/01/man… via Canadian Affairs

How is giving $25M to the dairy industry aligned with meeting climate targets? Dairy farming is in large part responsible for runaway GHG emissions.
So disappointing that govts keep subsidizing the cruel & dirty industry instead of helping transition to plant-based alternatives.

Excited that Animal Justice will intervene at the Federal Court of Appeal (with AEL Advocacy), in support of federal restrictions on single-use plastics.

Plastic is especially lethal to marine animals like turtles, whales, fishes, birds, and seals.
