Yesterday, Chetham and Seshadri published a critical analysis in Chemistry of Materials of the Google AI/ML computational materials discovery published in nature in November.

This may be the best way to publish republication studies - the EIC of a journal agrees, ahead of time, to publish the results of a replication study regardless of finding.

Science needs replication, but I'd also note that non-replication doesn't automatically equal retraction

I've been meaning to write a thread on my latest paper.

My principle reason for writing it was to contribute to Orhan Talu's special issue in the journal Adsorption. Orhan helped us a lot with the recent development of the IMB method.
