This study of 5,872 participants age 50+ found that exposure to anticholinergic medications (prescribed for OAB) resulted in 'small but significantly worse decline in cognitive scoring in the language and attention domains' when compared to controls.

Bacterial interactions being recognised as a key driver for pathogenicity and AMR in urinary tract infections. Important for older people when polymicrobial UTI more likely.

Interestingly Enterococcus seems to have a key role to play.
