Accenture in LA impacts everyone who stands on the side of justice and liberation.

Do you want your picture at a protest to impact your ability to receive bail down the line?? HELL NO.

We need Accenture out of the county NOW, and we need your help to do it (4/5)

When it comes to jails, this means Accenture's algorithms determine who is eligible for bail and who isn't.

Accenture makes their money hawking surveillance and risk-assessment algorithms. What do we mean by this?

They use biometric information, like your iris, fingerprint, voice data, connect it to your social media and demographics, and create a risk profile for everyone

When we say this shit is connected, this is what we mean:

Accenture has built facial recognition technology for police, border patrol, and ICE.

LA County CEO, Fesia Davenport, signed a deal to put Accenture in charge of LA's jail sytem.

Today I testified in Congress. I was asked if I thought slavery still exist.

“Yes. It’s not just that it exists in practice, but that, in the 13th Amendment, there is an exception that reads ‘except as punishment for a crime,’ which means, by law, slavery is still allowed.”

BREAKING: Today we're launching our new fight for judicial accountability, with a new focus — trial court judges.

Judges who have shown themselves to be cruel and excessive should not be rubber-stamped to new terms. It’s time to replace one of the worst judges in New York. 🧵

Thank u Alec! The Humphrey decision that you, the Civil Rights Corps team and San Francisco Public Defender's Office and Mr. Humphrey won is what allowed for his pretrial freedom, so he was able to fight the charges at home instead of in jail for all those years.✊🏾🙏🏾

This is why we do the work that we do. He was the first person in San Jose released because of our case striking down California's bail practices years ago. And now look at the power of participatory defense and what happens when families are empowered to get involved.
