iPhone : A recent Home Affairs session heard Facebook deleted 9.6M hate speech posts in first quarter 2020. This will just be the tip of the iceberg. Lockdown was an opportunity for the Govt to proactively prevent hate speech they missed it. Excellent by Bambos Charalambous independent.co.uk/voices/lockdow…

iPhone : We need to transform our housing system.

For too long homes have been treated as financial assets rather than places to live.

#Covid19UK has exposed the housing crisis. It needs fixing so everyone has a decent place they can call home ⬇️

Twitter Web App : Coronavirus means in Leicester East we cannot celebrate Pride Month in the way we would want to, standing shoulder to shoulder as a community, marching in pride. But all LGBT+ people should know we’re with you, this month and every month 🏳️‍🌈 Leicester LGBT Centre

iPhone : We should not support the Govt’s easing of #Lockdown

Would be premature to do so with class/race inequalities

😢The UK is at #COVID19 Alert 4
😢The R rate is dangerously close to 1
😢Test, track, isolate and trace is non existent
😢UK has highest death rate from #Coronavirus

iPhone : “I can’t breathe” George Floyd’s last words. These were also the words last spoken by Eric Garner, another unarmed African-American murdered by the police. Here in the UK we too have no immunity from this type of state sanctioned racism #BlackLivesMatter tribunemag.co.uk/2020/05/its-ti…

iPhone : What a week for our country: a govt with no moral compass. Workers face the sack as furlough winds down; Cummings drives coach and horses through lockdown; where is promised world beating track and trace?; scientific community now dubious; no. of deaths far too high.

iPhone : We stand shoulder to shoulder with those in the US and globally who feel anger, hurt and fear after yet another instance of discriminatory state violence.

We stand for #JusticeforGeorgeFloyd and in solidarity with his family, friends and community.

#BlackLivesMatter

iPhone : British society post #coronavirus is a potential tinder box. All the issues that led to the disturbances in the U.S. about the death of George Floyd exist here #blacklivesmatter

iPhone : We stand in solidarity with the family, friends & community of George Floyd in Minneapolis. We in the UK cannot ignore yet another death of an unarmed Black man in police custody

Its crucial we recognise we’re not immune from this disease of state-sanctioned racism Socialist Campaign Group twitter.com/socialistcam/s…
