On Tuesday, climate organisations were outside Bute House to demand First Minister stick to their climate commitments.

We heard from Scottish food growers, young people and global south voices who were all united to say we need urgent action this decade - not broken promises.

Chas Booth πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ Scottish Greens Richard's articles are always worth reading and that one is no exception.

Re-heating several old but still good policies is not the bold way forward that some seem to think and would not compensate for what is proposed to be removed.

These modal filters significantly reduced speeding in the area and reduced traffic by 40%. The LibDems voted to remove these filters... council report said speeding would go back up... yet LibDems claim to want to reduce speeding. Disingenuous at best

Many take the design of our current streets for granted. But streets have always changed, and will keep changing. We can choose the next direction.

Delighted this motion was agreed, as amended by Labour administration, by 9 votes to 2 with only Tories opposed.

Grateful to colleagues for their support and to Spokes CycleCampaign for their excellent deputation.

Powerful speech from Joy Reyes from the Philippines πŸ”₯

Renaging on our climate commitments is a betrayal of the people who are already suffering the impacts of climate breakdown.

The Scottish Government has failed to take the action needed to meet our climate targets.

Instead of ditching them, it needs to bring in the policies we need to tackle the climate crisis and improve the lives of people in Scotland.
