If that happens, Atlanta should turn around and flip De’Andre Hunter. No need to keep Hunter, Jalen Johnson, and Keldon Johnson. I’m a BIG fan of Hunter and think people would line up for that 3nD forward!!!

I see you Sophie Smith with that fake drop step post move. I have been telling coaches for a minute that she has the whole 💼 in the post. And now showing that perimeter game…. Be on the lookout for Sophie and the whole Philly Rise program next weekend in Houston!

Always a blast to go on C2C to talk 🏀 with my guy Ferrall on SportsGrid. Folks, it’s every weekday at 4:32pm. If that’s not enough for you, listen to us on BATR from 1-3pm Saturday and Sunday afternoons, ONLY on SportsGrid

They don’t but to me he needs to answer his style of coaching as you need to defend to win in the playoffs. Plus he has to explain McConnell for TWO games not being on the floor in crunch time and you lose. Especially if JB is cooking in the 4th, with McConnell sitting on bench.

AND it’s BACK-TO-BACK games. I said on SportsGrid yesterday you put TJ at point, move Hali to 2, and put Nembhard on bench. When JB sees Ryan checking him in the 4th, its BBQ chicken

BINGO! The bench, particularly McConnell and Toppin have been great. I understand not having Obi in down stretch because he is a defensive liability, but no McConnell is a complete screw up and I hope the Indiana sports talk radio is focusing on more on that than the officials.

Referees have the ability to huddle and switch a call AT ANY TIME. Yes they blew the call in Game 1 but one has nothing to do with the other. Rick is trying to motivate his team but I expect a fine. If it motivates Indiana for Game 3, Rick won’t care

It’s a pure setup for Game 3 coach. He is working the officials for home court. Also telling team in a way to be more aggressive because New York has shown to be much tougher than Indiana

Brunson does an incredible job of creating contact but I must say flopping is excessive. Brunson took 6 free throws last night (3 in last 33 seconds when game was decided). Halliburton took 6. Embiid took 13 FTs per game in series vs Knicks, Brunson took 10. Does Embiid flop?

Mikey, I think this is also a setup by Rick to rally his team and fanbase. Game 3 is going to be wild and I expect Indiana to try and throw an early knockout punch. Key for Knicks is get 1 out of next 2 and get this back to MSG for Game 5!!!

I do not know If Indiana can just switch philosophies. Do what you do. But have more willing defenders down the stretch would be ideal. Go McConnell, Halliburton, Pascal, Turner, and Neismith down stretch. Still good enough offensively but McConnell to bother JB!

Chris, you are not wrong here. But Indiana hasn’t show a willingness to defend in high-leverage situations. A team that is based on offense cannot just change their ways. It’s a mindset. McConnell has it. That is why it’s SHOCKING that he sat the last 7 minutes.

I have a TON of respect for Rick Carlisle as a coach but I have to take him to task. Brunson misses a WHOLE quarter, OG missed the LAST 15 minutes. Your teams inability to get stops, take the Knicks out to start the 3rd quarter, AND sitting TJ McConnell cost you the game, NOT the…

'You lost the game for your team, not the referees.'

@coachyoungnj gives his thoughts on Pacers HC Rick Carlisle complaining about the officiating in their series vs the Knicks.

I hope you listened to me today on SportsGrid. Why would ANYONE take the under in Knicks/Pacers at 219? Knicks are banged up. Pacers love to push. Haliburton HAD to be better. Pacers don’t defend.

Now the O/U is 225.5 in Game 3. Ready, TAKE THE OVER! 7 out of last 8 have gone…

The Pacers are going to do what they do which is speed up the Knicks. But they are poor defensively and NY has guys that will push (Hart, OG, Brunson at times). 6 out of last 7 games have gotten to 230. Love the over Playoffs
