Jake Timmerman 1st 5 min of practice. Set up on hash at the +20. We run the screen on air and everyone sets their block angles and sprints into the end zone. They jog to the opposite hash on the -3 and run the same screen coming out. We will do this with three groups. Multiple reps for 5 min.

Jake Timmerman Half field.
On different hashes.

IF you had the bodies or coaches use them for moving defensive.

Single A level after we teach them, we do it on air.

We run 1 screen during Team Blitz a day about 2 reps.
(we do this with no DBs just front 6)

Jake Timmerman I found success doing it in my Indy with my receivers. So we could work on both blocking, running, and catching the screen.

I’ve also done it half field but with a group on each half with 2 QBs

And also a screen period when we get it down.

I think progressing like this helps

Jake Timmerman We go 2 groups and rotate every play. We have a defensive box w/LBs holding bags and the back shell is built with scout guys or garbage cans that we can quickly shift between plays. Usually a lt least a 7-min session and we can easily get 4-5 reps per minute.

Jake Timmerman We do our slow and tunnel screens during our team teach period once a week usually Vs a dummy defense (extra offensive bodies). We do our fast screens usually in ROA and/or half field Vs D. Then obviously during team.

TRACY MALONE, M.Ed Jake Timmerman Ab balls give easy, movable targets, speed similar to a DB coming out of a pedal. It got to the point where we ran through them, keeps us fast and aggressive on screen paths.

Jake Timmerman 11 on Air but have extra OL lineman up in specific areas in the perimeter and rolling exercise balls for the OL to fit on them on the move. Timing is what’s important IMO. Gotta credit Chase Fleming for that idea .

Half field.

Starts during individual with OL working on their own and skills working together.

Then we come together with a static scout D to teach landmarks

Then we go live
