Week 2 of field trips at Columbia's Agriculture Park! Field trips at the park are a great opportunity for young learners to connect to agriculture and their environment through hands-on experiences, such as tasting fresh produce and petting our chickens!🌿💕

Today is the first day of spring field trips at Columbia's Agriculture Park! We are so excited to welcome 3rd and 5th graders from Columbia Public Schools to the park and have them engage in a range of hands-on learning!

Happy kohlrabi planting day! Did you know kohlrabi is also called German turnip or turnip cabbage? Kohlrabi is a great source of potassium, vitamin C, and fiber & is related to cabbage, broccoli, kale, cauliflower, and possibly aliens, at least we haven't ruled it out yet...

Big news!CCUA was awarded a grant from FairShare CSA Coalition to purchase 3 CSA shares from Happy Hollow Farm that will be donated to The Food Bank's Central Pantry. Fair Share CSA Coalition will pay for 50% of the cost and Happy Hollow Farm the other!

Exciting news! We have received a grant to create the new 'Boulder Hop Trail' that will run through our stormwater retention basin area. A huge thank you to Simmons Bank for this incredible grant! We can't wait to have this trail as a new feature of Columbia's Agriculture Park🥳

The CCUA informed the JMS Zoo that 5 guinea pigs were abandoned at their farm overnight in the cold. We are super full but we feel we have a responsibility being a zoo. So, here they are! The zookeepers spring into action and get things ready for them in 30 min.
