It is right that the Mayor has finally issued this statement after so much concern was raised, not least as a result of his council's weak and misleading initial statement.

We assume his reticence was he didn't want to disclose he held two secret meetings with the golf club!

The Government has finally U-turned on their refusal to make violence against shop workers a standalone offence.

This is credit to years of powerful campaigning from UsdawUnion Co-operative Party and The Labour Party.

It’s time to turn the page on fourteen years of Conservative decline with a Labour government that will breathe new life into our high streets.

Labour has turned our NHS around before. And we have a plan to do it again.

The Conservatives have created a two-tier healthcare system.

I’m not prepared to see working class patients priced out and left out.

Labour will use spare capacity in the private sector to get patients treated sooner, while we build the capacity the NHS needs.

Labour will give power to patients - making your life easier, your family healthier, and the NHS more efficient.

I will crack down on tax avoidance to fund more NHS hospital and dentist appointments, and free breakfast clubs for all primary schools.

14 years later and we are still reaping the benefits of the last Labour Government.

Sure Start provided more opportunities & alleviated inequalities. Shame the Conservatives closed these centres.

Cannot wait for the next The Labour Party government to make things better again. 🌹

The concerns of thousands about proposals to build on Shirley Heath need to be fully addressed.

We've written to Jason Perry - Mayor of Croydon calling on him to publicly reject these plans and provide a categorical assurance to residents that the council will not sell or lease any of Heath.

Labour has a plan to rescue NHS dentistry, and reform it for the long run.

This includes funding an additional 700,000 urgent appointments a year and delivering a targeted recruitment scheme for dentists in the areas that need them the most.
