Honored to receive a lifetime achievement award from the Michigan Professional Fire Fighters Association for my work in ensuring the Cancer Presumption fund for firefighters is funded in Michigan. We should always take care of those who take care of us.

I was saddened today to learn of the passing of former County Commissioner Alfreda Schmidt. Alfreda was a great example of who a public servant should be — always putting her community first. She will be greatly missed.

Thank you to the #mileg for the transformative $53M investment in the future of agriculture! Funding for the new Dairy Cattle Teaching and Research Center & Plant Science Greenhouses will propel MSU, MSU CANR, MSU College of Natural Science, and MI Agriculture forward.

Today, I hosted a roundtable discussion with Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan, Reproductive Freedom for All, Michigan Fertility Alliance, and MSU students from East Lansing Free Emergency Contraceptives to talk about the importance of reproductive freedom.

This morning, I had the pleasure of speaking with the Eaton Rapids Rotary Club!

My thoughts and prayers are with the brave Lansing Police Officers and their families.

I’m appalled by the Arizona’s Supreme Court ruling that upholds a near-total abortion ban from the 1800s.

We must come together to protect a woman’s right to choose. In Congress, I’ll continue fighting for reproductive freedom in Michigan.
