For #WomensHistoryMonth , we’re thrilled to highlight the work of several trailblazing women in our community. This week, we want to elevate the work of an incredible woman who tirelessly serves the families and children of NYC: Day Care Council of New York Executive Director Tara Gardner.

Thank you Rita C. Joseph NYC Council Member Althea Stevens Council Member Pierina Sanchez for hosting tonight's Bronx Town Hall on the education budget! And thank you to all the Bronx parents and youth who showed up! We need elected leaders to save the many important education programs on the chopping block.
Our govt doesn’t do enough for families. Mayor Eric Adams’s cuts to preschool, afterschool & summer programs will push many out. Providing childcare to parents & children might be the single smartest, most compassionate public investment we could make.
