Yesterday was my final day as The Daily Tar Heel’s City & State editor. Hundreds of editing sessions, dozens of breakings and a whole lot of long days led me here — so I wrote a farewell column to capture my feelings.

The The Daily Tar Heel received a Solutions Journalism Network grant this year to create a mental health collaborative between college newsrooms across North Carolina.
