2/2 The deliberations were part of the National Durable Solutions Strategy 2020-2024, which previously took place in the various Federal Member States to establish a viable environment and a lasting durable solution for IDPs and returnees. NRC East & Southern Africa is currently supporting 2,287 households with the facilitation of land tenure documentation. The majority of these families live in Barwaqo in public land provided by the #Southweststate . 278 households live in the ADC zone on land they contributed and purchased (4/6)

During the process of gaining land documentation, through #Danwadaag NRC East & Southern Africa also developed the capacity of local communities, government authorities and humanitarian and development actors to understand and respond to #LandTenure insecurity among IDPs (3/6)

Since 2016, NRC East & Southern Africa through #Danwadaag has supported Baidoa local authorities to facilitate land tenure documentation for over 9,000 IDP households. In 2018, the #BaidoaMunicipality allocated the Barwaqo site to support the relocation of DACs at the highest risk of eviction(2/6)
