It's been more than a year—413 days to be exact—that my friend and The Wall Street Journal colleague has been wrongfully detained by Russia, simply for doing his job as a journalist.
Evan was mentioned on Jeopardy! last week. I hope more learned about his case from that. There's more work to do.
It has been 59 long weeks since The Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich was wrongfully detained by Russia. That is 413 days in prison simply for doing his job as a journalist. Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal continue to demand his immediate release.
