Top tips to build a successful #AffordableConnectivityProgram awareness campaign:
#6 Leverage In-Person Community Events to Raise Awareness. Events also build trust in the ACP & inform applicants. Incorporate ACP awareness into popular community events to ensure reach.
Highly mobile and unhoused individuals can receive the #AffordableConnectivityProgram benefit, too. Individuals can use the address for the shelter at which they reside when submitting the application.
With Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds we're committed to 'delivering the reliable and affordable broadband every community needs to compete in the modern economy.'
High-speed home internet connects Americans to opportunities to learn, develop, and grow toward a bright future.
Households can see if they qualify for $30/month off the cost of home internet through the #AffordableConnectivityProgram at GetACP.org

GetACP.org shows how tech & user-centered design can improve the #AffordableConnectivityProgram application process.
On GetACP.org, users can learn
- if they qualify
- what documents they’ll need to apply
- how to connect to 'free w/ ACP' internet plans
We are excited to partner with the City of Birmingham on the Connect99 initiative to ensure all eligible households in the 99 neighborhoods are aware of the Affordable Connectivity Program and have the support they need to enroll. #Connect99 #getACP #digitaldivide
45% of applicants are rejected, and many more fail to complete #AffordableConnectivityProgram enrollment, often because of documentation issues.
To overcome this barrier, GetACP.org helps applicants determine (among other things) what docs they'll need for approval.
Thank you to Nikki Usher (they/them), Jon Ralston and Michelle De La Isla for a great conclusion to @journalismproj’s event series on the impact of local news – we heard important lessons on how local news can disrupt partisan echo chambers and hold government accountable. medium.com/american-journ…
