This rings resoundingly true, not just as a creator with your direct peers, but also as a reader.

Surround yourself with people whose work has you scratching your head going 'How the hell did they do that? How can *I* do that?'

Deniz is one of those people.

Most of my career was watching my friends zoom ahead of me in this industry, and I can say honestly I was never jealous of their success, only jealous of their talent. I think that's a healthy jealousy, one that pushes you to be better. The other is pointless & self destructive.

Headed back to one of my very favorite cons in a couple months! Whomst will be there?!
