Ableist comments made to anyone can be life-changing. Making them to bairns is unforgivable.

Stop telling kids they need fixed or removed from society.

Taking their disability out of photos for the aesthetic is sending that exact message & it’s as dangerous as it is disgusting.

So there was a Traveller and Gypsy “meet up” in London today with young people just to socialise & the police were out in force to stop them going to shops, restaurants etc. A disgrace that these young people being treated like this. No trouble, only from the Metropolitan Police

It's been a good week for Gypsy/Traveller visibility in museums in Scotland. @CPKMuseums new Perth Traveller voices can be heard in a display on pearl fishing created by Travellers, while Highland Folk Museum Museum, John and Eddie Macdonald put up the museum's new bow tent.

Powerful and necessary reading. I read Paul's post with a deep reflection on the colonisation of minds, not least in light of recent Nawkenknowledge work on my own Indigenous tongue - The Cant.

If this footage was from October 7th, and this was an Israeli mother and child, murdered and maimed by Hamas bullets, it would be treated as one of the most traumatic examples of that day.
