Reporting on family court cases is in fact rooted in splitting - ie -if we believe what these journalists tell us, only mothers are harmed, all fathers are abusive and children are practically invisible.

The problem is that parental alienation is used as a counter to claims of domestic abuse and domestic abuse is used as a counter to parental alienation, as two recent judgments involving the same barrister have proven. The first found against the mother.

Judge to mum: I am ordering that your child maintains regular contact with Dad and his family.

A year later: all contact denied.
