I am thrilled to be invited to speak at the Institute For Addressing Strangulation conference 30 April. My sister was non fatally strangled by her husband, several months before being murdered by the same man. Today we have brought together AAFDA family members with National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC), VKPP Vulnerability Knowledge & Practice Programme, Domestic Abuse Commissioner and Home Office to learn from each other so that we can aim to improve the response to suicide after domestic abuse. Such valuable collaboration!

Hard to believe it's 20 years today since my sister & nephew were murdered. Sustained abuse over so many years & then the unimaginable terror of the killing evening. I love meeting victims who safely exited abusive relationships. They give us hope 1/2 Jo at AAFDA DHR Network
