Langston Hughes used his pen as a powerful tool to challenge injustice and advocate for equality during the Harlem Renaissance & beyond. His poetry not only captured the essence of the African-American experience but also sparked conversations that reshaped societal perceptions.

Students and staff members from Loyola University met with 3rd and 6th grade students at CICS Lloyd Bond. Our guests from Loyola provided exposure to the college experience, information about different majors and career paths, and overall led a great college readiness discussion.
