Superb point by Dominik Presl Just finished small text on the same topic for Hospodářské noviny + had a vivid debate on this at Visegrad Insight workshop on the future of EU scenarios. Even ultramodern weaponry need some people for maintenance - and decicions in kill chain.

Investing into our militaries is important, but if no one wants to fight, it won't make much of a difference. That's why Finland or Estonia are fostering “defense resolve” as part of their defense strategy - and why the rest of NATO should learn from their experience.

2% HDP na obranu už ale bohužel dávno nestačí. Mezi státy východního křídla NATO, které svoji bezpečnost berou vážně, je už standart 2.5% až 3% HDP. Je na čase se o tom začít bavit i u nás.

Po 3 letech končím na ministerstvu školství. Jsem hrdý na to, co se nám s Jan V. Mušuta 🇨🇿 🇪🇺 podařilo:
✅vybudovali jsme špičkový tým s absolventy
Oxfordu, Cambridge
✅rozjeli jsme několik klíčových reforem

Přesně. Nemůže to za všechno co se nám nelíbí, ale je to reálný problém, který bychom neměli ignorovat (což se bohužel pořád děje). VZ zároveň správně konstatuje, že zprav. služby v tom mají důležitou úlohu, ale zároveň i velké limitace, a nemůžeme očekávat, že ony to “vyřeší”.

Poslední vlákno o mém odchodu ze služeb státu vyvolalo docela odezvu. Twitter není na detailnější rozbory ideální, tak jsem to zkusil trochu víc rozebrat v rozhovoru pro Aktuálně.cz
