Good to see Simon Harris TD emphasising how Ireland is dependent on immigration. But we need to see greater urgency around ensuring the rights of all migrants, including those forcibly displaced, are protected. Accessible housing is a critical part of that.

We were delighted to join Children's Rights Alliance yesterday to talk abt our food poverty alleviation work in migrant communities.

Parents who cannot access work or have other rights restricted/denied often cannot afford to feed their children, or must go hungry themselves to do so.

Two critical issues highlighted in this report: (1) the anxiety of parenting under constant supervision in the international protection system (2) the lack of adequate training of staff at accommodation centres.
Families and children suffer as a result.
