I’m excited to share my first postdoctoral work where we captured the first high resolution structure of the bacterial magnesium transporter MgtA! This project allowed me to learn cryo with Doreen Matthies, molecular simulations with Alex Sodt and function with storzlab.

Our preprint on magnesium transporter MgtA is out revealing a DIMERIC, not monomeric P-type ATPase if you are gentle! Fun collaboration between 5 amazing labs.

Check out our recent preprint on human mitochondrial Mg2+ channel MRS2! Louis @louistflai used #cryoEM to determine < 3Å structures of this channel & together with functional assays provided insights into the ion translocation pathway and gating mechanism.
