Minister of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation, Dr Essa Kayd , today attended the state funeral for the late Abdinasir Muse Dahable, who was brutally killed in Mogadishu last week. The Minister sent his deepest condolences to the family, relatives, and people of the RSL.

I condemn this act of terrorism against the UAE's Camp Gordon in Mogadishu, Somalia yesterday. I extend my deepest condolences to the people and government of the United Arab Emirates on their loss and pray for the families affected.

This year 19 African countries will head to the polls including Somaliland, this is a true testament of democracy in the works. I congratulate President Azali Assoumani on his reelection, wishing you and the people of Comoros much success.

It's time that Somaliland is included in maritime security initiatives & programs in the HOA. Although we don't receive much support from international partners on maritime security we have been safeguarding this important trade route for decades on our own accord.

It is imperative that the conflict in the Red Sea is countered. Our Coast Guard has always safeguarded our 850km coastline from threats such as piracy, human trafficking & the smuggling of illicit weapons & will continue to do so. See Press Release
