Great new work from Martin Refalo on sex-based differences in hypertrophy doi.org/10.51224/SRXIV… '... relative increases in muscle size were similar between sexes [ES = 0.05 (95% HDI: –0.07 to 0.16); pd = 80%].'
Interesting potential fibre-type differences!

Our lab’s 1st attempt at a preprint, led by Jonathan Beausejour We welcome feedback, especially if you conduct TMS research during active contractions. 🧠UCF CNS Lab
First paper from my Phd is out.
Great team behind it all! 💪🏼🤩
We explore acute responses of proteolysis and ECM markers following an RT bout in the untrained and trained states.
Special thanks to our participants who donated time and effort to this project! 🙌🏻

Great findings by Dr.Maíra Scarpelli Another excellent collab with Mike Roberts ! Congrats also to Joao, Joshua Godwin Paulo Mesquita, PhD Talisson Chaves Carlos Ugrinowitsch and other co-authors link.springer.com/article/10.100…
We are too, Mike Roberts! Congratulations to you and the Auburn University team on setting a new benchmark in tissue sample research, continuing to advance our understanding of #aging and #skeletalmuscledisorders . Thank you for your collaboration with our team and technology.
Just pubbed: Our paper discusses the importance of assessing multiple sites along a muscle to get a complete picture of exercise-induced hypertrophy.
Kudos to J.P. João Pedro Nunes for spearheading the project 💪

So happy for Auburn Kinesiology to have the opportunity to host Gustavo Nader from PSU KINES Dept and hear him deliver a cutting edge ribosome lecture. Incredible stuff.
Looking for a Ph.D. student interested in skeletal muscle physiology. See attached for details

Relative rDNA copy number is not associated with resistance training-induced skeletal muscle hypertrophy and does not affect myotube anabolism in vitro
Nice work from Joshua Godwin & Mike Roberts

Fantastic work led by Joshua Godwin with collab from Gustavo and Andy showing rDNA copy number is not associated with resistance training-induced skeletal muscle hypertrophy in a larger human cohort and does not affect myotube anabolism. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
