Today marks the 108th anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising.

The Sigerson Memorial in #GlasnevinCemetery commemorates those who fought during the Rising. The rebel being cradled by Mother Ireland in the monument is widely believed to represent Patrick Pearse.

The clock at Dublin's General Post Office, likely dating to 1929, bristles with enrichment, from Roman ribbon-and-reed framing to jazzy Deco fans and zigzags - all sobered up in bronze casting. The St. Patrick's blue back-lit glass is a delightful product of recent conservation.
