Had a fantastic trip to University of Iowa this week to hang with the Chemistry Department! It was fun to see so many radiochemists in one spot. Thanks to Korey Carter for hosting and I can’t wait to collaborate 🤓
Congratulations to Dr. Marola Issa who successfully defended her CWRU Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering PhD today! TY to Christine Duval, Ina Martin, Don Feke, and James Gilchrist for serving on the committee and U.S. National Science Foundation, PPG, & Lubrizol for support. Next stop Dow!
Dr. Lyndsey McMillon-Brown invited by our Chemistry Graduate Student Association (CGSA) from NASA's Glenn Research Center will be visiting the Chemistry Department to give her Frontiers in Chemistry Lecture on Dec 7 at 11:30 am in DeGrace 312. CWRU art|sci Case Western Reserve
A successful #AIChE2023 wraps up!
Just a few of the highlights include our #PhD student brewing team winning most efficient brew, Christine Duval starting as Chair for Area 2D, Chris Wirth starting as Chair of Area 1C, and a wonderful Case Alumni Assoc reception! CWRU Engineering National Academy of Engineering
Despite our group’s fun, there was a noticeable difference in conference attendance this year. Looking forward to future meetings in locations where all of our American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) community feels safe and welcomed.
Heading home after a busy #AIChE2023 : 2 talks, 1 poster, and 1 CWRU Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering reception. Proud of students Lianna and Luke!
I’m excited to announce a new topical conference on “Critical Minerals for the Clean Energy Transition” co-led by Christine Duval and Alexander W. Dowling for #AIChE2024 🤓
Happy #NationalComingOutDay ! I hope that everyone can live in a world where they can be their authentic selves. 🏳️🌈
