This was a special piece that I had the pleasure of writing.
I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Dylan, but through the work we do at WeAreDT38, I feel as though I get a glimpse into the young man he was. Gone but never forgotten 🧡

The last time I saw the very talented very brave WeAreDT38 play was for the U21 development Squad at Rush Green against Aston Villa August 2013. The best player on the pitch, we all hoped he had finally beaten cancer. Ten years ago today the 20 year old lost that battle😔 ⚒️

Today marks the sad anniversary of ⁦WeAreDT38⁩ passing. I was so grateful I had the chance to meet and get to know Dylan, a life taken far too early. Thoughts today with all his family, friends and former team-mates ❤️

On this day, April 18th, 10 years ago, we said goodbye to our beloved Dylan.
