We're really proud of the projects we've been working on this year at the Education Alliance for Life Chances. Our work is always impact focussed and you can see our highlights below:

Great to see so many involved and engaged in change-making at our first Holme Wood Schools and VCSE Network meeting! This group has been created out of our Act Locally program in Holme Wood and exists to connect education settings with voluntary and community organisations.

Our multi agency school attendance task and finish group looks beyond our district to find the best evidence of what works to tackle severe and persistent school absenteeism.

Here at the EALC we are working to alleviate the impact of poverty on young people's life chances.

For a lot of us in schools it's a struggle at the moment.

We have to work together and do things differently.

Education Alliance for Life Chances brings together schools, the NHS, the local authority, the police, University of Bradford and our star researchers Centre for Applied Education Research to tackle the barriers we face.

After we concluded Bradford Opportunity Area a bunch of us decided to try and keep working together in alliance. We’re Education Alliance for Life Chances and today we met for the first time this academic year! Better Start Bradford hosted and we heard about the work of Bradford SAFE Taskforce

4 in 5 16-18 year olds say they need to move areas for better opportunities, including 90% in Yorkshire.

This is stark - we are losing talent to other areas. We need to grow opportunities that provide secure well paid jobs and career progression.

UK schools join the SAMHE citizen science project! They will receive a FREE indoor air quality monitor linked to an interactive Web App where teachers and pupils can view the data and use it in the classroom.
