Ending my mission to #Australia , with a good discussion on the global #LNG market & the role 🇦🇺 has to play, with Australian Energy Producers, the peak body of the explorers, developers & producers of energy. We also exchanged on #hydrogen , #CCUS potential & transitioning to #netzero .
Honoured to be at the National Press Club & to give an overview of 🇪🇺 recent actions in energy, how we managed the #energycrisis , our cooperation with Australia & what we do to support #Ukraine .

Great meeting to start the week with Madeleine King MP, Minister for Resources & Northern #Australia .
We focused on the 🌍 #LNG market & 🇦🇺 role in it, cooperation in critical raw materials & phasing out fossil fuels. Happy to take forward our bilateral cooperation.
Meeting with 🇪🇺 heads of delegations in 🇦🇺
Happy to give overview of my visit to #Australia & the good meetings with ministers & companies I have had.
🇪🇺-🇦🇺 cooperation is going strong, but we could do more, namely the FTA.

Yesterday, EU Energy Commissioner Kadri Simson and the Hon @BowenChris MP toured UNSW, including a visit to key energy R&D facilities in solar photovoltaics, green hydrogen and more.
We wrapped up the tour with a visit to the record-holding Sunswift Racing car! ☀️⚡️
Very happy to visit the school where the modern #solar panel was invented: University of New South Wales 🇦🇺
Perfect place to discuss #renewables & the plans we have to boost the #greentransition .

1st stop - Newcastle Institute for Energy & Resources at University of Newcastle, for an overview of the region & future potential.
Followed by good discussions at MCi Carbon, a clean tech company transforming CO2 into building products & materials.
➡️My #Australia visit continued with fascinating exchanges at CSIRO, Port of Newcastle & Star_Scientific_Ltd.
⚡️I saw some interesting innovation, that could be of great help not only for the Newcastle region & it’s #justtransition , but also globally.
