“Great on paper, shit on grass” -Kris Van Der Haegen. The concept of a great idea that doesn’t translate onto the field or into practice. Love it and percolating on it.

You’ve got to be okay with the fact that no one will ever know (or care) how hard you work.

And that’s okay because it’s never been about them in the first place.

Discipline is conditioning your brain to not give a shit if it sucks, if it’s hard, or if it hurts.

Love this…need this. 'The reason people get good ideas in the shower is because it's the only time during the day when most people are away from screens long enough to think clearly. The lesson is not to take more showers, but rather to make more time to think.'

One of my best experiences was growing up in Berkeley California and then going to work for the Army. I realized how amazing people are, and that differing opinions bring value. I got to 'think again' about a lot of things. Thanks Adam Grant

Controversial leadership: What if feedback style is like learning styles? Yes people have preferences, but no research backs teaching to them. You need to provide feedback that fits your performance environment, not the persons comfort, for them to have sucess in that environment

Regular people will never understand just how many times champions practice in private before they perform in public.

Once they do, they stop being regular people and become champions too.
