Congratulations to our current CT1 Tom Drake awarded the Chiene Medal for his work investigating how specific mutations in DNA lead to liver cancer. Prof John Chiene was president of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh 1897-99 & influential Edinburgh Medical School Prof Surgery. A great role model for Tom Drake!
