Eliot-Hine 8th Grader Sabella Osborn took initiative to create a Women’s History Bulletin Board in our hallway. Each day, she created a new post about a woman who has contributed to the world we have today. She helped our students learn about artists, activists, and lawyers.

We had so much fun welcoming prospective students from Payne ES to our Buddy Day! They learned about our medical detectives program, International Baccalaureate, our ERIC core values, our library, and life at Eliot-Hine. We can’t wait to welcome Miner Elementary in April! 🦅

Lots to celebrate at Eliot-Hine this week. Teacher Isabella Miller won the READ 180 & System 44 Exceptional Educator of the month and Nahla Jones won their Super Scholar of the month. Congrats also to Rohan Young and Bobby Thorn who qualified for debate league championships!

Today, students from Eliot-Hine United Nations visited George Washington University to hear from representatives of their Student Government Association about student leadership. We brainstormed goals and community agreements that our students will use to better Eliot-shine.
