Instead of collapsing into a heap after 10 yards Cindy now often walks for 2 miles a day. She still has some weight to lose.

If you want to put into perspective how much weight Cindy has lost it is 15kg or 32lbs.

That is the same weight as Billy and Sandy together. She’s lost a Billy and a Sandy of weight In just 7 months!!! Incredible (3/5)

Cindy had thyroid problems which were untreated on the streets and she was overfed. The vets worried any extra exertion would kill her. Touching her skin turned it red instantly and her fur was falling out. She couldn’t walk 10 yards (2/5)

Pablo wouldn’t have survived much longer and he was in agony and very grumpy dragging that around in the heat.

We clearly have to work on his weight next as I think everyone was feeding him out of pity. That can wait a couple of days as well spoil him for now (6/7)

I will say the hardest thing for us was getting him moved around 😅. There’s also a heatwave here at the moment which is insane so we have 4-5 fans on him at all times. He’s out of it still but doing well (5/7)

But the good news is Pablo made it through the operation. It’s taken a lot out of him and he’ll need some time to recover in full but the vets couldn’t be happier (4/7)

We found a vet willing to take it on. It was a three hour procedure and he was going to have to lose his tail for the greater good.

There’s always a risk with operations so we’d prepared his people and ourselves for the worst (3/7)

Pablo is a semi owned street dog. He’s close to 100 lbs and has been carrying this huge mass around for a year.

We were all very nervous for him heading off to surgery but also hopeful we could change his life (2/7)

This is Pablo. He came in this week with a huge growth on his tail. He’s been in a world of pain but today was the big day. We managed to get him booked in for an operation.

It was risky because he is an older boy and very overweight but it was a success (1/7) 🧵

Billy said he’s turning in for an early night as it’s his big day tomorrow. He’s a little nervous but also hopeful he said.

On his eyes basically one will be fixed tomorrow all being well and other they will decide when they start the operations. He has the very best medical care in the country either way.

There was some slightly mixed news for him in his pre operation tests last couple of days bit broadly good… (1/4)

The Supreme Court - which includes the spouse of a coup plotter - actually screwed us over when they decided to take this case. Today’s arguments were just a byproduct of that corrupt betrayal.
