Before vs After. Here's an area of March restoration works on Bodmin Moor looking incredible this week. You can see that *so much water* is being held back and slowed down in the landscape. The comparison with the dry, scrubby, eroding environment from before is clear.

🌊 When completed, the Bridgwater Tidal Barrier will protect against the type of high tides we have seen recently.

It will have two ‘vertical lift’ gates that will be closed when high tides are expected. This will prevent the tide from travelling upstream and causing flooding.
