Yesterday at the CAFÉ Climate & Health Conference, a panel of researchers and organizers from World Resources Inst, Boston University School of Public Health, EDF & Partnership for Southern Equity, moderated by IGS's Rebecca Pearl-Martinez, discussed their #ClimateHealth work grounded in #equity and justice. 🧵

Excited to embark on this 5-year US Department of Energy funded project! We will identify and monitor energy justice indicators on the community effects of offshore wind development in the US, partnering with community organizations in New Bedford, New London, & Brooklyn.

We were deeply honored to have Vanessa and Davis with us from Uganda. Discussion ranged from media disparities in coverage of African climate impacts, to climate protest criminalization especially in BIPOC communities and in the Global South, to new oil pipelines in Uganda.

Thought-provoking discussion across clean tech, equity, and Justice40. And I’m always pleased to see an all-women panel at an energy conference ;) Many thanks Tufts University for bringing us all together.
