It’s a few minutes past midnight in Tbilisi and Easter Sunday. The capital is more quiet than usual because of the holiday, but thousands of people have still gathered in front of the Parliament, peacefully protesting with candles in their hands.

This is where I normally go for a run. Usually the sidewalk along the river is completely empty. Today it was packed with busses and marshrutkas. The government transported literally thousands of people from other regions to participate in today’s pro-government rally in Tbilisi.
